Macro-System Model: A Federated Object Model for Cross-Cutting Analysis of Hydrogen Production, Delivery, Consumption and Associated Emissions: Preprint
نویسندگان
چکیده
It is commonly accepted that the introduction of hydrogen as an energy carrier for light-duty vehicles involves concomitant technological development of infrastructure elements, such as production, delivery, and consumption, all associated with certain emission levels. To analyze these at a system level, the suite of corresponding models developed by the United States Department of Energy and involving several national laboratories is combined in one macro-system model (MSM). The macro-system model is being developed as a cross-cutting analysis tool that combines a set of hydrogen technology analysis models. Within the MSM, a federated simulation framework is used for consistent data transfer between the component models. The framework is built to suit cross-model as well as cross-platform data exchange and involves features of “overthe-net” computation.

THE EFFECTS OF CUTTING ENERGY CONSUMPTION SUBSIDIES ON INDUSTRIAL AIR POLLUTION IN IRAN
Air pollution is an example of a negative externality; it imposes harmful effects and costs on people other than polluterS. In controlling air pollution, efficiency argument implies that, there is a rolefor the government to play. Studies show that taxation of fuels can be a powerful indirect instrumentfor controlling air polluticn because of the association between fuels use and emissions. In ...
متن کاملEffect of Hydrogen Addition to Natural Gas on Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition Combustion Engines Performance and Emissions Using a Thermodynamic Simulation
The HCCI combustion process is initiated due to auto-ignition of fuel/air mixture which is dominated by chemical kinetics and therefore fuel composition has a significant effect on engine operation and a detailed reaction mechanism is essential to analysis HCCI combustion. A single zone-model permits to have a detailed chemical kinetics modeling for practical fuels. In this study a single-zone ...
متن کاملA multi-objective mathematical model for production-distribution scheduling problem
With increasing competition in the business world and the emergence and development of new technologies, many companies have turned to integrated production and distribution for timely production and delivery at the lowest cost of production and distribution and with the least delay in delivery. By increasing human population and the increase in greenhouse gas emissions and industrial waste, in...
متن کاملInvestigation of vessels pressure effect on PEM electrolyzer performance by using a new OneDimensional Dynamic Model
In recent years energy shortage and environmental impacts due to consuming fossil fuels have led to developing renewable energy sources systems. Since these sources are not reliable and are usually time dependent, an energy storing system like hydrogen production is required. In this regard, PEM electrolyzer can be efficiently used to decompose liquid water into hydrogen and oxygen. Because of ...
متن کاملEnvironmental and Economic Evaluation of Municipal Solid Waste Management using WAGS Model – Air Pollutant Emission and Fuel Economy in Waste Collection Sector
Solid waste collection, transfer and transportation (SWCTT) is a fundamental component of solid waste management systems that contributes to both the costs and environmental emissions associated with managing solid waste. The objective of this study is to project the fuel consumption and fuel costs of SWCTT in Tehran from 2018 to 2032. A further objective is to evaluate the air pollutant emissi...
